As the Senior Vice President of Nilkamal’s Material Handling Division, how would you describe your leadership style and the key principles that guide your decision-making?

Nilkamal Material Handling always follows a collaborative approach, where we prioritize data-driven insights and provide long-term solutions to customers. We encourage an open culture, where we constantly strive for self-improvement to stay ahead of market trends and continue providing bespoke solutions.

Nilkamal is recognized as India’s largest material handling company. What strategies have been most critical to your success, and how do you envision the company’s growth over the next decade?

Our success stems from an in-depth understanding of industry needs, commitment to quality, and a customer-first approach. We continuously innovate, offering tailored solutions and building strong, long-term relationships.  Over the next decade, we foresee significant growth in sectors like e/quick commerce, pharmaceuticals, and automotive, wherein automated material handling solutions will become increasingly important for efficiency and scalability.

The material handling industry is evolving with new technologies. How is Nilkamal integrating innovations like Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) into its solutions, and how do you see them shaping the future of the industry?

Nilkamal has been a part of the ASRS adaption in India since 2007. Nilkamal’s constant focus is on developing high quality racking solutions, totes, and pallets to meet the critical parameter standards of automated systems. Sustainability is becoming a key focus for many industries.

How is Nilkamal addressing environmental concerns in its material handling solutions, especially when it comes to energy-efficient equipment and sustainable materials?

Nilkamal plays an important role in helping customers achieve their sustainability goals by developing and offering totes and pallets from recycled materials. We leverage a 360-degree sustainability approach by adopting renewable energy sources and solar power and minimizing waste in all our manufacturing plants.

Can you share an example of a recent project where Nilkamal went beyond the traditional scope to ensure Total Customer Satisfaction (TCS) for a client? How does this philosophy guide your team?

We designed and developed a Clad Rack Warehouse that helps customer optimize civil costs and the overall warehouse project cost as a result. We have recently completed 36 meter high Clad Rack ASRS Warehouse for Global FMCG player.

Nilkamal serves a variety of industries, from automotive to pharmaceuticals. How do you tailor your material handling solutions to meet the distinct needs of these diverse sectors?

Our key value propositions are to “protect customer products,” “optimise storage” and enhance safety during material handling.”
Each sector has unique requirements, and we leverage a consultative approach to understand the specific challenges and goals of each industry.
We tailor solutions that not only meet our client’s immediate needs but also support their long-term growth. Our ability to adapt our solutions to different industries has been a key driver of our success across verticals.

India’s manufacturing and logistics sectors are growing rapidly. What challenges and opportunities do you see in this market, and how is Nilkamal adapting to stay ahead?

The growth in these sectors constantly results in the optimization and innovation of various types of automated systems.
Nilkamal serves at the forefront of such optimization and innovation by developing and providing racking systems, crates, and pallets for such ever-changing applications.

How is Nilkamal adapting to the growing e-commerce sector and rising demand for faster logistics by delivering advanced and efficient material handling solutions? Additionally, how does Nilkamal plan to showcase these innovative solutions at LogiMAT India?

We have positioned ourselves as preferred partners for global automation leaders by delivering high-quality, precision-engineered racking systems, totes, and pallets that meet the highest industry standards.
